William Frank
William Frank is an author
with an extensive list of performances in and around New
York City, a classically trained writer with a Master’s
Degree in English.
For more than 20 years,
he has been blessed to read
extensively as part of a tandem with DW Stojek, as a well-received feature speaker and a dynamic
contributor to open readings at such venues
as the Dodge Poetry Festival, Canio's Books and the Poetry Project at St Mark’s
Church. He was a runner-up for the 2008 Discovery/The
Boston Review prize offered by the 92nd Street Y and his
first book of poetry, The Morphine Fawn, is his homage to
traditional forms, free narratives, folklore and all festivals big and
small.
His new
book, The Encolpia, is a sonnet sequence of spiritual
vagrancy, a meditation importuned.
